From May 13 to May 18, at the invitation of St. Petersburg University of Technology, two doctoral students and one master student from the Micro Satellite Research Center of ZJU participated in the five-day International Science and Technology Week exchange activities which organized by St. Petersburg University of Technology.
St. Petersburg University of Technology is among top in Russian technical universities. It is a comprehensive university with long history. Representatives from all over the world will be invited to its annual International Science and Technology Week. Since 2016, the Micro Satellite Research Center of ZJU has established a cooperative relationship with St Petersburg University of Technology to jointly carry out exchanges and cooperation in multiple fields.
Professor Dmitry Arseniev, vice President of St. Petersburg University of Technology, and dean of the School of International Cooperation, Ekaterina Belyaevskaya, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.More than 40 universities and teachers from Europe, Asia, South America and North America took part in the activity. In these activities, teachers and students from universities and colleges all over the world exchange experiences and methods of international cooperation.
In the "Global Cooperative University and Overseas Education Program Forum", Sun Shujian, a doctoral candidate of the Center, gave a keynote speech on behalf of Zhejiang University, introducing the general situation and development history of Zhejiang University and demonstrating a good mien of ZJU.
In addition to participating in the activities related to Science and Technology Week, students also met with professors from the School of Physics, Nanotechnology and Communication of St. Petersburg University of Technology. Both sides coordinated the follow-up cooperation arrangements. China and Russia will further cooperate on advanced technologies and applications, short-term teaching of teachers, student exchange training, and establish a long-term cooperation mechanism.
