Master-Doctor Educational Program with MAI

4+1 Joint Educational Program with Brown University

Applicants must pass the selection test in ZJU, and then pass the interview hold by Brown University. Accepted students will study in ZJU for four years of undergraduate courses, and then study in Brown University for one year of master courses. Those who pass examinations and finish graduation thesis will be awarded the Bachelor of Science Degree of Zhejiang University, and the Master’s Degree of Science of Brown University. Students who complete the educational program are able to apply for doctoral program in Zhejiang University or in Brown University.

APPLICABLE STUDENT:

SAA students who major in Solid Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics.

3+2 Joint Educational Program with UIUC

ZJU students may apply for graduate study in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Applicants should be selected and recommended by ZJU and approved by UIUC. When finishing three years’ of undergraduate study in ZJU, students will study in UIUC. In the first academic year of UIUC, students mainly take the courses required for undergraduate degree of ZJU and the courses required for master's degree of UIUC. In the second academic year, students complete the courses of master's degree of UIUC. On the premise of achieving the bachelor's degree of ZJU, students who meet the requirements of UIUC will receive the non-thesis master's degree granted by UIUC. Students who complete this joint educational program may apply for doctoral program in ZJU or UIUC.

APPLICABLE STUDENT:

Junior in Engineering Faculty of ZJU, SAA students who major in Mechanics.

Student Exchange Program with RWTH Aachen

Every year, Engineering Faculty of ZJU will send 5 undergraduate or graduate students to RWTH Aachen for exchange study for six months or one year. Applicants should be selected and recommended by ZJU and approved by RWTH Aachen.

APPLICABLE STUDENT:

Sophomore and junior in Engineering Faculty of ZJU, Master Degree Candidate of first year, straight-to-doctorate student.

3+1 Joint Bachelor's Degree Educational Program with Moscow Aviation Institute (issuing two diplomas)

The joint educational program was launched since September 2018. Zhejiang University (ZJU) and Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) shall implement joint educational bachelor’s degree programs with issuing two diplomas majoring in “Aircraft Engineering” or “Engineering Mechanics” with training in English. The whole duration of the Program is 4 years. Undergraduates will be enrolled into both ZJU and MAI in freshman year. In the first 3 years, students will study in ZJU, and the fourth year study in MAI. Upon successful completion of the Program and passing the final assessment in both universities, students will receive “Bachelor of Engineering and Technology” majoring in “Aircraft Engineering” from MAI, and a bachelor’s degree diploma in “Flight Vehicle Design and Engineering” or “Engineering Mechanics”.

APPLICABLE STUDENT:

Freshman of SAA students. Both majors (Flight Vehicle Design and Engineering, Engineering Mechanics) are available.

Master-Doctor Educational Program with MAI

The joint educational program was launched since September 2019. Zhejiang University (ZJU) and Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) shall implement joint master-Doctoral degree educational programs with training in English and issuing master diploma by MAI majoring in Aircraft Engineering, Propulsion Engineering and Spacecraft Engineering and Doctor of Engineering diploma by ZJU.

The program was awared as the National Innovative Talents International Cooperative Training Program. 30 students enrolled in this program every year will receive CSC scholarship.
