The annual meeting this year for deans from School of Aeronautics and Astronautics around Chinese Universities was successfully held in 8 Dec. in Zhejiang University. The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of Zhejiang University hosted the conference as the chairman on duty.
Deputy secretary of the Party Committee of ZJU YE Min, chairman of the Development Committee of ZJU, convener of the Evaluation Group of Aerospace Science and Technology under the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council WANG Zhenguo, delivered speech in opening ceremony. More than 100 people attended the meeting, including chief designer of China's Manned Space Project academician ZHOU Jianping, chief designer of the C919 aircraft academician WU Guanghui, secretary general of the Teaching Steering Committee for Aeronautic and Astronautic majors Liang Guozhu, deans of Schools of Aeronautics and Astronautics and relevant representatives from 42 universities in China.

——The history of Zhejiang University in the field of aerospace can be traced back to 1936. It is hoped that this meeting will deeply discuss the new direction and measures of discipline reform and development, so as to improve the aerospace discipline of Chinese universities to a higher level.

Deans from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of Zhejiang University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Sichuan University delivered speech at the conference and introduced experience in developing aeronautic and astronautic majors in their universities.

In the afternoon, a roundtable meeting was held on topic of "opportunities and challenges for the development of aerospace disciplines". Representatives from different universities exchanged their opinions on new problems and challenges faced in new era. The meeting discussed and decided to further amend the constitution of the Association of Deans from School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of Chinese Universities. Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Sichuan University are selected as the rotating chairman of the annual meeting in 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Roundtable Meeting
The annual meeting started from 2015 when the association was founded. Most Schools of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Chinese Universities are members of the association. Dean of each university will be rotating chairman for annual meeting. The meeting shows the highest education level in aeronautics and astronautics in China.
