With the coming of China Space Day, ZJU hold the first Academician Lecture this year in Qiushi Lecture Hall on 16 April.
Vice-principal YAN Jianhua, Academician YANG Wei made speeches separately. Academician BAO Weimin gave a report on space spirit. Professor ZHEN Yao, YU Faxin and CHEN Weiqiu made reports on special research separately. More than 250 teachers and students attended the lecture.
In Acdemician BAO's speech, he reviewed the majr progress of space science and technology in recent years, and predicted the development trend in the main fields. He also summarized the main achievements of China's space industry in the fields of artificial satellite, carrier rocket, manned spaceflight, lunar exploration and deep space exploration. He analyzed the major needs of future development of space science and technolgoy.
