On April 26, Li Dongxu, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), joined School of Aeronautics and Astronautics as Chair Professor. The appointment ceremony was held in Yuquan Campus, ZJU.
On behalf of ZJU, Vice President ZHANG Hongjian welcomed LI Dongxu and presented her with the letter of appointment and the badge of ZJU. ZHANG Hongjian said the joining of Academician LI Dongxu will greatly promote the integrated development of Mechanics and Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Academician LI Dongxu said, "The seeking truth spirit of Zhejiang University attracted me. I will continue to uphold the spirit of 'seeking truth from facts', pass on the gene of' seeking truth from facts', and carry out all kinds of research work in a realistic manner."
Academician Li Dongxu is an outstanding expert in China's aerospace field. She has made pioneering achievements in the fields of decentralized vibration control theory and methods, aircraft structure dynamics and control, intelligent materials and structures.
After the ceremony, she gave a keynote lecture on "Three Types of Vibration Problems and Vibration Control in Space Flight".
