The 21st IACM Computational Fluids Conference was successfully held in Hangzhou from 17th to 21st Oct., 2021. More than 120 delegates from various countries and districts attended the conference. The conference was jointly organized by International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM), Chinese Association of Computational Mechanics (CACM), and International Chinese Association for Computational Mechanics (ICACM). The conference was locally organized by School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhejiang University.

ZHENG Yao from Zhejiang University, WAN Decheng from Shanghai Jiaotong University and ZHUANG Zhuo from Tsinghua University are co-chairmen of the conference. Antonio Huerta from Technical University of Catalonia, YANG Wei from Zhejiang University and YUAN Mingwu from Peking University are honorary chairmen.

The Conference aims at covering all aspects of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), comprising from most fundamental aspects to recent applications. It provides a world-wide forum for both academic researchers and industrial engineers to meet each other, exchange information and discuss research experience.

The emergence of computational mechanics has revolutionized the way of studying physical fluid phenomena. Its research methods and achievements have gone deeply into most fields of industrial applications, and made important contributions to the development of science and technology. The International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM) had organized 20 conferences named as FEF (International Conference on Finite Elements in Flow Problems), from 1972 to 2019. Starting from 2021, the conference series will be renamed as IACM Computational Fluids Conference (CFC).
