The State Engineering Course Research Center of Mechanics of Zhejiang University was founded in 1996, being one of the six University Mechanics Centers of Ministry of Education.
The center is jointly established by the Department of Mechanics and the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture. It undertakes five main courses in ZJU which are Theoretical Mechanics, Material Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics, Structural Mechanics and Engineering Fluid Mechanics (Hydraulics).
