Center for Engineering and Scientific Computation, Zhejiang University, is a key interdisciplinary research center established in 2002. The mission is to emphasize the nature of being interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary, and to promote applications of high performance computing in various fields in the university.
At this inception stage, there are nine groups in the research center. They are: Enabling technologies of engineering and scientific computation; Computational algorithms and software; Visualization of computational software; Scientific visualization and virtual reality; High energy physics and physics of new materials; Scientific computation and simulation of earth and atmosphere; Computational combustion; Computational fluid dynamics; and Computational structure technologies.
