The multi-scale and micro-nanomechanics research team led by academician YANG Wei is aiming at the international academic frontier, developing the in-situ experimental methods, technologies and computational simulation methods of micro-nanomechanics around metal materials and two-dimensional materials. Based on the optimal design of alloy toughening mechanics, the in-situ micro-nano mechanical experiment platform was independently developed to improve the research ability of nanoview and atomic scale physical mechanism. In theory, the method of diatomic molecular dynamics is proposed to break the bottleneck of atomic scale simulation of multicomponent alloys. Based on in-situ experiments and simulation, the relationship between micromechanism and mechanical properties is revealed. Based on this, the mechanical design idea of decoupling strength and plasticity "source mechanism" is proposed, which breaks through the typical "intensity-plastic inversion relationship" of metal structural materials. Taking graphene, a typical two-dimensional material, as an example, the mechanical method of precision control of zero-dimensional and one-dimensional defective atoms was proposed: "power-electric" bombardment method, and an in-situ experimental method for constructing new material morphology by utilizing graphene and its defect mechanical properties was established.
