| onorary Professor | Prof. Mary C. Boyce is an internationally renowned expert of solid mechanics. She mainly studies the nonlinear large deformation mechanical behavior of natural and synthetic macromolecular materials and micro-nano composite materials and structures based on these macromolecular materials. In 2013, she was appointed dean and chair professor of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences of Columbia University. She was the director of the Applied Mechanics Committee of the American Association of Mechanical Engineers, and is a fellow of the American Association of Mechanical Engineers, academician of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and academician of the American Academy of Engineering. |
